6.7 Different Schools Of Thought
There is no Ishvara, there is no self (aatmaa) - this is foolishness, not knowledge. Individual soul-world-Ishvara all three exist and are distinct - this is common knowledge. Only Ishvara exists in the form of the individual soul and the world (everything has its exstence but the part-whole difference is the existence of Ishvara) - this is the philosophy of Vallabhaachaarya. God is all, Ishvara is all - this is Bhaagavat knowledge. Only I am everything - this is (Kashmiri) Shaiva knowledge. But all this does not exists, only brahman exists - this is Vedanta knowledge. Without the knowledge of Vedanta, it is not possible to completely end sorrow, fear etc.
