6.37 Trust In Yourself

Even in Vedanta, there needs to be trust. There are two kinds of trust. There is ritualistic trust which remains trust until death, its truth is experienced after death. But there is one kind of trust which is experienced in this life itself. The Ishvara-related statements of experienced and fulfilled individuals is such a trust. There is no difference between experience and trust since it is not based on some other's trust. This is not trust about ourselves, this is experience.

There is a wealth of supreme bliss buried in you. Trust the statements of the great individuals. The name of this wealth is brahman. But this Mr. Brahman does not come out on the command of anyone. To attain him, encircle the feet of your teacher and enter your heart. Tear down all of the coverings, the curtains that are veiling that treasure, and make a firm conviction that "this is my own self". This is how you get supreme bliss!
